I believe this is not the perfect time to say this but I say it to clarify the ongoing saga”, Smith Rowe finally came out to reveal the real reason behind His shocking departure from Emirate

Although this might not be the ideal moment to bring it up, it’s necessary to clarify the ongoing situation. Smith Rowe has finally revealed the reasons behind his departure from Emirates. After feeling disappointed about Emile Smith Rowe’s exit from Arsenal, Mikel Arteta admitted he felt he had let him down.

Smith Rowe transferred from Arsenal to Fulham for £34 million at the start of August. He struggled to secure consistent playing time at Arsenal. The 24-year-old defender signed a five-year contract with Fulham, making him their highest-priced acquisition. He is expected to play a significant role in Marco Silva’s squad this season.

Arsenal fans had a strong attachment to Smith Rowe after he scored 10 Premier League goals against Chelsea in the 2021/22 season. However, injuries and stiff competition for places at Arsenal hampered his progress and aspirations at the club where he began his career.

While Arsenal was pleased with the transfer fee received for Smith Rowe, Arteta had conflicted feelings about it. He expressed his sadness, stating, “A lot” when asked if he was upset by Smith Rowe’s departure. He felt it deeply during their discussions.

“I want to express my gratitude for his contribution during a challenging period,” Arteta said. “He was instrumental in uniting our fans and the team. It was evident that he brought a unique energy when he joined. His presence brought a noticeable change.”

“And I feel that I haven’t fully maximized his potential,” he continued. “There were numerous events during that time which made me feel saddened, knowing how much effort everyone puts in to bring players close to the first team. I take great responsibility in providing them with opportunities. Now, the challenge is whether they can maintain this level and enhance the team. That’s the consideration.”

Arteta’s sentiments echoed Arsenal’s statement following the news of Smith Rowe’s departure earlier this month. They reflect the mutual respect and affection between them. The coach remarked, “Emile’s commitment, attitude, and daily energy were exemplary, and he always rose to the occasion when needed. He was crucial to us during a difficult period.”
