Don’t blame us if we don’t win the trophy again next season.””If you really need the trophy, you must sign him.” Martin Ødegaard identifies a position where Arsenal lacks a suitable player and identifies the necessary players to address the issue.

Tottenham Hotspur is preparing to negotiate a deal to acquire Feyenoord’s star forward Santiago Giménez this summer, but they face stiff competition from Arsenal, according to Mexican outlet Fox Sports.

Spurs have already bolstered their squad by signing Archie Gray from Leeds United and are close to finalizing a deal for South Korean prospect Min-Hyuk Yang, who is unlikely to join the senior team next season. Manager Ange Postecoglou is reportedly eager to make additional signings, particularly to strengthen the attack.

Several players have been linked with moves to Tottenham’s newly renovated White Hart Lane, including Jonathan David and Ivan Toney. However, Giménez has also emerged as a target for the club.

Fox Sports reports that both Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in signing the Mexican striker this summer. They face additional competition from major clubs such as Juventus, AC Milan, RB Leipzig, and Atletico Madrid.

The report suggests that neither Tottenham nor Arsenal has yet made a formal offer for Giménez, but the player’s agent and father are planning to travel to Europe soon to engage in discussions with potential suitors.

Giménez recently returned from playing in the Copa America and has started pre-season training with Feyenoord. Despite having four years remaining on his current contract, Feyenoord is in a strong position to demand a substantial transfer fee, with Giménez valued at approximately £34 million by Transfermarkt.

The 23-year-old striker had an impressive season, scoring 23 goals and providing six assists in 30 Eredivisie matches. His performance has made him a highly sought-after player, and he could be a valuable addition to either Arsenal or Tottenham. It remains to be seen which club will ultimately secure his services, making this a key storyline in the current transfer window.
