BREAKING: Chelsea Leads the Race for Dani Olmo!




 Dani Olmo, the 26-year-old midfielder for RB Leipzig, has been the subject of much speculation regarding a potential move this summer. Following his outstanding performances for Spain at Euro 2024, clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City have been briefly linked with him. Gianluca Di Marzio recently provided some insight into Olmo’s situation in an interview with wettbasis.com.



“The problem with Dani Olmo is the timing of the deal,” said Di Marzio. “He has this exit clause ending on July 15 but after the European final, they decided to extend the date to July 20. So teams have 3 more days.”



Di Marzio elaborated that while Manchester City had been closely monitoring Olmo, they ultimately decided against activating his exit clause. Similarly, Chelsea also chose not to proceed with the deal. Barcelona showed interest in Olmo, but their financial constraints make it unlikely for them to afford two exit clauses for both Dani Olmo and Nico Williams.



With the extended deadline approaching, it remains to be seen whether any club will make a move for Dani Olmo. For now, his future at RB Leipzig hangs in the balance as the transfer window drama continues to unfold.
