Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has today announced the signing of La Liga Star a potential replacement for Robert lewandoski if he retires next summer.

Lewandowski, who scored 26 goals for FC Barcelona in the 2023–2024 season, was their greatest goal scorer. This circumstance, along with the Barcelona staff’s ongoing preparation and Hansi Flick’s arrival to the bench, allowed the Pole to clarify that his position as the team’s “9” was not up for debate—while it is true that it is unclear exactly who would take his place when it wasn’t on the field.

If the figures hold true, Ferran Torres, who trailed Lewandowski with 11 goals last season, was the second-most productive forward. Over the course of the season, Torres attained his goal total without making headlines. The Foios man has become more and more of an area man, improving his goleador scent and has the ability to take the lead when needed.

The primary substitute for Lewandowski is already evident.

Flick has made it apparent to the Valencian that his traits fit the expectations of an ariete alternative for specific game circumstances, particularly in the second half when the parties open. This is what Flick hopes to achieve with “Sport.” Because of this, it is anticipated that Ferran will be the second forward for Barça in the upcoming season, depending on what might happen with Vitor Roque.

In this way, Ferran will play the repulsivo function, which it demonstrated in the previous season by perfectly using the minutes. Ferran’s ability to move quickly through space and his keen sense of goal are qualities that provide him access to his new coach’s board. It’s also worth noting that he can play minutes in either of the two extremes, however the biggest benefit would be that it allows Lewandowski to take a break.

Though the Pole has always emphasized the value of physical preparation, it is important to keep in mind that this year will mark its 36th birthday. As such, it requires the utmost care to prevent overload or muscular injuries that may send it to the hospital for several weeks. Although having an alternative like Ferran in the staff will provide him something more than rest in certain times of the season, the adjustments made by the club in this area lead the former Bayern player to the hope that he will play again at his best.
