Manchester City management has released the list of 6 players to be offloaded this summer and Man City Star boy is on the list

According to a report on Monday, Manchester City might begin their Premier League championship defence with no new additions to their roster this summer.

City has been connected with a number of players this summer, including Bruno Guimaraes and Joshua Kimmich, but the offseason has been relatively quiet for the first month since the season ended.

Because the majority of their players are completely focused on international tournaments, transfer discussion is usually slow, therefore it’s not surprising that the gossip mill has taken its time getting going.

Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, and Ederson’s futures remain uncertain, with each linked with a departure. It has to be seen whether such rumours materialize into concrete interest, which might take until later in the summer.

Assuming those players stay, City would likely be content to continue with a side that won the Premier League for the fourth time in a row and were unlucky to lose to the eventual Champions League champions.

Troyes on-loan Savio, a Girona winger, had been anticipated to join for City for some time, but his involvement with Brazil in the Copa America means there will likely be no action on that front for a few weeks. Troyes invested between £5-10 million on a player who had never played for them, and while his form for Girona would boost his worth, it is unclear how much.

So all eyes may be on who departs.

Joao Cancelo insists he will not consider his future until after the Euros, with Pep Guardiola indicating he would welcome the Portuguese back into his team if no buyer is found. Reintegrating Cancelo appears to be more of a problem than a solution, given the circumstances behind his departure and recent statements that show little remorse.

According to reports in Spain, City will ask Barcelona for £25 million for Cancelo, either this summer or next year as part of a loan deal, and that is the cost they expect to receive from any bidding battle. It is also alleged that they would seek around £20 million for Sergio Gomez, who has been linked with Real Sociedad.

After pre-arranged agreements for Tommy Doyle and Taylor Harwood-Bellis, the Blues have already received £25 million to kick off their summer. Liam Delap, another academy graduate, may go for a fee ranging from £5 million to £20 million.

There’s also Kalvin Phillips, who will be sold if a buyer can be found after his spectacular fall from favor. Recouping the £42 million paid on Phillips is impossible, but anything that increases the potential summer intake to more than £100 million would be a decent return. If additional alleged agreements go through, the figure may be between £15 and £20 million.

City fans will want to add one or two new faces to their team, but if they adhere to their plan, the summer might be another successful one, laying the groundwork for a future spending binge when there is no tournament and market circumstances are more favorable.
